Want to offer your own courses, but don't have a teaching qualification? 

Join our fully online AET programme and study at your own pace, to achieve teacher status.  

Our Regulated NVQ Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) is industry recognised and OfQual compliant, meaning your qualification is assured industry wide. 

This qualification is the necessary requirement to teach your own courses, gain accreditation and enter the world of teaching.

What is AET?

AET stands for Award in Education and Training, the qualification needed by anyone who wants to teach in the post compulsory education sector (16+) 

Regulated or Accredited? What do i need to look for?

To become an educator or training provider, your teaching qualification must be regulated, this shouldn't be confused with your industry related qualifications as these can be accredited or regulated. 

How long will it take? 

Our AET course can be completed in as little as 4 weeks, depending on the level of availability you have to dedicate to the work involved. That said you have up to 12 months to complete so it a work around currently commitments. 

How does the course work?

The course consists of 3 assignments (1 assignment per unit) These are approximately 2000 words each, but are broken down into several easier to answer questions. After each unit your tutor will mark and return your assignment with any adaptions that need to be made. 

The 3 units include: 

1 - Roles and responsibilities within education and training
2 - Inclusive practice
3 - Assessment in education and training

Once all 3 units are complete and passed, your tutor will arrange a video call to discuss & help you plan your micro teach session. This is a 15 minute session that is observed via video link by your tutor. 

Study from anywhere, anytime and at your own pace, our distance learning option means our tutors are at the end of the phone, or pc, to help and support you through your course.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the entry require ments for the course? 

You must be 19+ to undertake this course and have a good ICT skills. 

Will i receive tutor support?

Yes! You will be assigned a tutor who will be available to support and guide you through the course, as well as help you prepare for your micro teach session. 

Can i get my certificate straight away?

As soon as your work has been approved and passed by our awarding body, you will be able to access a PDF copy of your certificate.
